How It Works

Global DDS uses the same proven strategy as modern internet video calling to transmit data.

  1. Discovery Server: Applications register with a lightweight discovery server to find peers. This can be self-hosted or provided by us.
  2. Peer-to-Peer First: Whenever possible, data is transmitted directly between applications for lowest latency.
  3. Smart Traversal: If direct connections are blocked by strict firewalls or Symmetric NATs, the system seamlessly falls back to a TURN server to relay traffic.
